Social Media Warning Labels (HB 499)
Sponsored by Rep. Mary Gonzalez, this bill requires social media platforms operating in Texas to display a warning about the link between minors’ social media use and mental health issues. This warning would be displayed every time a user opens the social media platforms’ landing page.
