Kids Code Coalition Applauds Governor, Legislative Leaders, Community Advocates As NE Age Appropriate Online Design Code Becomes Law

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Kids Code Coalition released the following statement as the landmark kids online safety bill its members have tirelessly championed was signed into law:

“Kids and parents in Nebraska can feel confident today that help is on the way to make the internet safer for young people and hold Big Tech companies accountable for exploiting our kids’ emotions, health, safety and wellbeing – all for profit. We are immensely grateful to Governor Jim Pillen for requesting the bill and signing it into law, to Senator Carolyn Bosn for her bold and effective leadership, and to the community members from all walks of life – parents, young people, educators, medical professionals, tech experts and more – who stood up, made their voices heard and have now achieved groundbreaking change to empower kids, parents and families and protect Nebraska values.”
